Congratulations! You have made the very first step toward home ownership. We will coach you through the process of preparing for your new new home. The most important thing to remember is to keep your eye on your goal. There are a few things that you should consider: 1. Credit: How much should I have; how good should it be; and is mine good enough? 2. Monthly Payment: How much monthly payment am I comfortable making?. We may be able to offer ideas to help raise your comfort level with the mortgage payment. 3. Income: Is my income adequate to qualify for the monthly payment? 4. Down payment and closing costs: Do I have enough money to cover the required down payment and necessary closing costs. 5. Assets: Do I have the additional assets to qualify and be able to make the monthly house payment in the event of some unforeseen circumstance? 6. Tax benefits of Owning a Home: How much will Uncle Sam help me with my house payment? Will this help my comfort level? Our goal is to make you as informed as possible so that you are comfortable with your decision to purchase a home.
